Brazil Entry Requirements

Visitor entry to Brazil depends on nationality. Some travelers are visa-exempt; others need a consular visa or an eVisa. This page does not invent a branded digital arrival card that every tourist files before flying.

Is there a Brazil immigration form?

Travelers often search for a Brazil ED Card, e-Ticket or digital arrival form. Official Brazilian guidance currently treats visitor entry as an immigration inspection, plus a visa when the traveler's nationality requires one. There is no branded online tourist arrival card presented here as a product everyone files before flying.

Visa depends on nationality

Brazil's Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes a Quadro Geral de Regime de Vistos (QGRV) — the official table of who needs a visa to enter Brazil. Check that table for your passport rather than copying a blog list.

Official MRE pages currently say electronic visitor visas (e-Visa) are issued for nationals of the United States, Canada and Australia traveling for tourism or business. Applications go through VFS Global at brazil.vfsevisa.com. That is a visa, not a Caribbean-style arrival card.

Other nationalities may be visa-exempt or need a conventional visa from a Brazilian embassy or consulate. MRE currently says eVisas are not issued for other nationalities. Do not assume a US, Canadian or Schengen visa in your passport replaces Brazil's own rules.

Length of stay

Official MRE pages currently describe visa-exempt tourism or business stays of up to 90 days for some nationalities, and an eVisa visitor stay of up to 90 days for the nationalities that use that product. Permitted stay is still set by the visa category and by immigration at entry — not a guarantee from this page.

Health and other documents

Yellow-fever vaccination can depend on where you have been and current health rules. Confirm those on official Brazilian health information rather than an outdated blog list.

Official resources

Use the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa table for nationality rules, and the VFS eVisa portal if official pages say an eVisa applies to your passport. Rules can change; check again before you travel.
